Crystal Lake made several important announcement recently, so let’s see what’s up with Japans metalcore legends:

They started off by dropping a music video for a brand new track called Curse, which is a tribute to legendary musicians who passed away and which is a tiny bit less aggressive compared to the usual Crystal Lake sound.

And just a day later they announced some line-up changes: for years they were officially working as a trio with two additional support musicians for gigs, but last summer, guitarist and founding member Shinya quit, so they went down to a duo (with Ryo on vocals and YD on guitar). Now however they are a five-piece band again, with the addition of new guitarist TJ (Hisatsugu Taji) and their two longtime touring membersdrummer Gaku and bassist Mitsuru.

And a week or so after this they also announced that they will be returning to Europe early next year… and this time not as a support act, but as headliner with two US metalcore groups (Currents and Kingdom Of Giants) opening for them. The tour will start early February with 22 stops in 9 countries and last till early March!
