DJ Mitsu The Beats of Gagle / Jazzy Sport fame released the first part of his Beat Installments series back in 2012, which turned out to be one of the best Japanese hip-hop releases that year and then he followed that one with two more rounds of excellent hip-hop instrumentals in 2013 and 2016. And now he is back with the 4th part which, based on the samples, will again mix funk, dub and jazz influences with his trademark laid back hip-hop sound. The CD and vinyl will hit the stores on the 7th of December and besides a short music video, shot in Jazzy Sport’s main Tokyo store, there is also a track-by-track teaser on soundcloud, so we can have a pretty good idea of how the new album will sound… and it will sound just as good as its predecessors. And if someone wants even more beat instrumentals from Mitsu, it is worth to check out his bandcamp account, where he runs his Beats Of The Month series with tracks made in a quite similar vein.
