EMNW, Jellow Glow, Mighty Hope, Redmarker @ Kyoto Gattaca, 2026.05.21.

This post is a part of a series of live galleries from the trip to Japan in May / June, 2026.
After the previous, Tokyo-centered visits, this trip’s first week was all about (finally) discovering Osaka and its music scene, with a short, two day detour to Kyoto… and that is where I came across this gig by EMNW, a pretty cool up-and-coming girl duo known for adding a new twist to the classic nu-metal sound (check the review about their recent debut album here). This show was part of their first-ever nationwide tour that had 25 stops and ended in Tokyo mid-June with a concert at Liquid Room. The show took place at Kyoto Gattaca, a small, but pretty nice venue a bit further away from the city center with an approx. 120 capacity and it featured three support acts: Jellow Glow, Shibuya’s viral J-Rock / alternative rock group, Redmarker, a band with mid- to uptempo songs and a very typically rock sound, and Mighty Hope, which was kind of similar, but with an added funky and pop punk groove here and there.
